Grassroots Support for Down By the River: Anacosita, A Place of Spirit:

In April, 2003 we hosted a community event in Anacostia to raise support for our trip to Russia in May and to collect gifts to bring to orphans in Russia.

On Thursday, May 9, 2002 at 7PM we held our first meeting with the exhibition project community advisory committee. Comprised of representatives from Anacostia and the Washington, D.C. area, the committee will ensure that the local community remains informed of and involved in project developments. In addition, the members will make the final recommendations for the participating children who will travel to St. Petersburg, Russia. Click here to view a list of committee members.
